What is your favorite improvement to WordPress this past year?
The dashboard UI got an amazing facelift. The refinement of colours, contrasts, scale and alignment have all made the dashboard experience and navigation that much more delightful to use. Bravo to the team!
What is your talk going to be about?
My talk is about building a site on the best possible foundation: wireframes! Many people just dive in and start building a WordPress site on the fly. This all-in technique is great for learning, but can actually become inefficient as you go along. Using wireframes is smart planning – it saves loads of time and energy. It’s important to start out with the right tools in your toolbox.
What is the one thing you want people to walk away with from your talk?
People who come to my talk will come away with a solid grasp on how and when to use wireframes.
Who in the WordPress community inspires you? Who do you follow?
Kathryn Presner’s energy, knowledge, warmth and sense of community involvement always amaze me. I really admire her passion for helping people find solutions and encouraging women in tech.
What new feature would you like to see in the future?
I should really get on opening a core ticket to request a feature that can make me an espresso in the morning.
